Ok, good job on the review but thinking about skipping this place. Where is your usual spunk? Is something wrong? So serious compared to you last posts. Where’s the signature wildness and sarcasm? Have you become a librarian or a senator?

Hey Dom, I will definately try Peep after this review. The food sounds ok, but I find the restroom fascinating -NOTE- restroom sex sounds kinda too germy! Reminds me of the Whisky in Times Sq. (bathroom) yet with people who actually live indoors.

As discussed previously, I’m relying on your reviews to navigate New York’s interesting watering holes when I’m in town. If my buddies could read I’d turn them on to your website too, but unfortunately there’s no espn.com in your domain name.

Oh yes I really liked it too – made the trek to E. B’way as soon as it opened. I love that they make things properly spicy!

make sure you go to xi’an famous foods! i haven’t been to the ctown or flushing one, but the noodles in the e. village are uber uber delicious. get the lamb noodles and the “liang pi”. SOOOO good. my favorite asian noodle place other than perhaps ramen places now.

absurdity! fortunately, GQ has caught up. recently started trying a few of their recipes (they have cooking/recipes in each month’s mag now) and they’ve been wonderful. i’ve been seeing a lot more men turn to the kitchen, and it’s great! good riddance to journalists way behind on the times…

Thanks for pointing me to this review! Yeah, I agree that Joe’s Shanghai (especially in Midtown) was a huge disappointment compared to Din Tai Fung. However, it’s still better than what we get in Boston, and we were in Midtown, so it was still relatively enjoyable. I guess you just have to know not to expect Din Tai Fung quality!
